July 25, 2008

We’re in the dog days of summer, and the heat and humidity is rising here in New York City. But…my heart is pounding with excitement because I just got a color galley of my new book Knitting On Top Of The World (October 2008), and I have to say it is just beautiful—I can’t wait for you all to see it! Below is a sneak preview of the full jacket cover.

This book, along with my Signature Scarves book will be featured on end caps at most Barnes & Noble stores in October, along with two special gift items of mine: a 2009 engagement calendar with twenty-six different flowers from many of my books along with the patterns and a knitting gauge bookmark. I’ll put up photos of them soon.

On Monday I was interviewed by Mary Beth Temple on her radio show “Getting Loopy” and we had a delightful chat about…crocheting. Listen to it here.

On Tuesday, I was interviewed by the lovely, talented writer Daryl Brower who is doing an article for Vogue Knitting Magazine, celebrating my upcoming 25th anniversary as a knitwear designer/author. (I started when I was only 10 years old!  Honest! Honest!)

Oh well…I suppose Oprah will be calling me tomorrow!
Keep cool…keep knitting…keep in touch.  Nicky
