Roman Cable

I designed the cables to converge and meet at the top of this hat. A Styrofoam ball supports the cabled pom-pom. Remember to remove the ball before you wash and dry it to maintain its shape, or use polyester fiberfill in place of the ball.

. Sizes 5 and 7, or size required to obtain correct gauge
. Cable needle

. One 2-in. Styrofoam ball or polyester fiberfill (small
amount)

GAUGE
20 sts and 28 rows :4 in. in st st using larger needles
