Submitted by Nicky on Fri, 02/12/2010 - 10:36Busy…busy…busy! The Brooklyn Knitting Guild asked me to speak and have a fashion show at the main branch of the Brooklyn Public Library at Grand Army Plaza. It’s a beautiful building and a large group of enthusiastic knitters showed up. It was especially nice being there in that, my husband grew up just six blocks from the library and was there all the time throughout his childhood (he was and is a voracious reader).

Happy Knitting New Year! Sorry I have not blogged in a while. But my schedule has been non-stop knitting mania. Ten days after we got back from London and Paris we were off to Miami for the 7-day Vogue Knitting Cruise to Mexico.

A knitter, Kathleen Rago, sent me this picture with the message "My daughter gave me your Knitting On Top Of The World for Christmas last year and she fell in love with the NW Indian jacket. I made it for her birthday in March and wanted to share the picture since it was my first color work project."

Submitted by Nicky on Wed, 10/28/2009 - 11:58Bonjour…I’m back!...Back from London and Paris. And I didn’t gain any weight, although I ate like the Queen’s Pet Pig!
The Knitting and Stitching Show at the Alexandra Palace in London was fabulous, filled with creativity, and attended by over 40,000 people (many of the knitters and crocheters) over a four-day period. There we hundreds of exhibitors representing the stitching and craft world. One great booth was The Guild Of Machine Knitters Ltd.

Submitted by Nicky on Thu, 09/17/2009 - 14:20Just got a preview copy of my new book Knitting A Kiss In Every Stitch and I am wild with excitement. It’s a book of original designs to knit for loved ones, friends or charities. The book will be available on November 3, 2009, and I hope you will like it. There is nothing more gratifying for a knitter than to knit for others. I am so happy to see how versatile and full of fun it is. If you’re in New York on December 3 I’m doing a book signing at Lion Brand Studios.
